Safe sharpening procedure:Sharpening with the Redi-Edge
  1. Place the Redi-Edge Knife Sharpener flat side down on a table or countertop.
  2. Work near the edge to avoid marring the surface.
  3. Be sure the sharpening blades face you, as shown in the illustration.
  4. Grip the Redi-Edge with one hand and hold it down firmly.
  5. With the other hand, set the blade between the sharpeners and draw it backwards, working from rear to tip. Only light to moderate pressure is required.
  6. Repeat until the blade is sharp.

Shapening with the Redi-EdgeOnce a sharp edge is established, you can easily touch it up with a few passes through the sharpener. Sure, simple, and the same sharp edge every time.
